These heavily constructed tugs feature a mesh pouch with Velcro side opening that allows you to place treats inside (we recommend using soft or semi-soft and irresistible treats). Two small pull tabs on the pouch make access easy for refilling the pouch. Bungee handle is made of soft to the touch yet very strong 1" nylon webbing (handles come in a variety of colours, allow us to select one for you).

Present this filled tug toy to your dog who will begin to sniff and lick it. In an attempt to get the food, your dog will begin to mouth the tug and as a result, will start to get immediate food reinforcement. Once your dog is mouthing the tug, grasp the handle and gently start to exert some tugging pressure, pulling the toy away from the dog. The dog will start to mouth the tug harder - he doesn't want that food to get away! The harder your dog mouths the tug, the more food reinforcement he/she will receive; therefore, the act of tugging harder gets immediately paired with the food and encourages / develops tug drive in your food motivated dog.
